Lloyds Banking Group is offering an inspiring, engaging and interactive work experience week designed to help Year 12 students understand how to use their strengths and interests to craft a future that’s right for them.
WHEN ARE IS THE WORK EXPERIENCE?
- Week commencing 22nd July for 5 days 9:45am-4pm in:
- London: 25 Gresham Street, London
WHAT WILL I LEARN DURING THE EVENTS?
During the session we’ll look at problem solving and critical thinking, identifying your strengths, presentation skills and developing your personal brand. We’ll give you plenty of opportunity to meet colleagues from Lloyds Banking Group so you can learn from them; what they do, how they got started, what it’s like to work for a company like Lloyds Banking Group and what trends are shaping the job market in the next few years ahead. You’ll find out more about roles that will suit you and your passions and how you can make a difference.
SO WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY MEAN YOU WILL BE DOING?
During the week there be a variety of different sessions from shadowing lots of different areas around the bank, building your network in the bank, understanding different routes into the bank, visits to different places and an opportunity to showcase your skills.
WHAT WILL THESE PROGRAMME OFFER?
- Experience of what it is like to work in a bank and how a bank operates.
- Experience in a vast array of different areas which make up a bank
- Career path insights into banking and the opportunity to ask 121 questions.
- Opportunity to network with different people in the bank.
- Discussion with our Emerging Talent team on future entry routes in to the Group (apprenticeships, internships, graduate programmes).
- A chance to hear from senior leaders at LBG who have an active role in deciding in which direction the bank is moving.
The events will be held:
- In person in London Head Office on Monday 22nd July- Friday 26th July 9:45am to 4pm

Please speak to Miss Law to get a copy of the application form, and then send a copy of this alongside your CV to gctwe@lloydsbanking.com from a school or college email address. Please be aware that there are a limited number of places for work experience and they unfortunately cannot offer a placement to everyone. Please also note applications without both a copy of your CV and the application form will not be accepted.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
- Complete the application form and update your CV
- Send in both the application form and your CV to gctwe@lloydsbanking.com by Monday 3rd June
- Applications are then shortlisted and interviews will be sent out to shortlisted applicants
- Interviews take place in June. Interviews will be short 15-20 mins long asking about why you are looking to attend the work experience here at Lloyds
- Successful applicants in gaining a place on the work experience week will be notified early July
