Tech Work Experience

Opportunity from Dartford Alumnus, Dara, who is currently working at software company, Palantir Technologies:

I encourage any students considering a career in technology to apply, regardless of whether they currently study Computer Science or intend to at university! This is a great experience that would make interesting reading in personal statements, as well as being an opportunity for students to speak with software and data engineers about their journey from school to today. Palantir Technologies develops software for data-driven operations and decision-making. One of their partners, NHS England, uses their software, Foundry, to run their day-to-day operations including reducing the elective waiting list, helping patients get seen faster.

Palantir is offering an exciting work experience opportunity for current Year 12 students . This work experience programme takes the format of a four-day summer bootcamp that aims to introduce students to various careers in tech, while also teaching both technical and analytical skills through interactive sessions. Over the course of the bootcamp, students will gain foundational technical skills for working with data (e.g., SQL, Python, PySpark, Databases) and how to use data to solve real world problems.

This will take place in our London office between the 12th – 15th of August, and the company are able to reimburse students for travel up to £55 per day. They will also provide breakfast, lunch and refreshments during the day.

Applications close Monday the 3rd of June.
